Red Rage-Total Control 7" (1980)

     well i just got a package in the mail recently. inside was this. a re-issue of Red Rage's only 7". originally on Flicknife Records in 1980. brought back to life by 1977 Records last month. i bought the record from them in japan and two days later in was in my mailbox. two days from japan to canada! crazy. i guess that's why it's so expensive to buy from them. but it's worth it with the quality releases they do. i sat on some of their earlier releases and now i can't find them anywhere. probably because they re-issue their records in small quantities. only 250 of this 7" were pressed. oh well, they are still a great label.
   
     the only flaw i have on this is the cover paper they used. it's that kind if you get your fingers on it, your fingerprints are there forever. the cover is neat though. you flip it upside down and his expression changes from rage to normal. that aside, the music itself is good. just straight at you punk. the a-side being the winner here. the flip-side is good too, but not as strong. it goes on for far too long, three and a half minutes. it's still good, but would have been better around the two minute mark. on the a-side it's almost three minutes, but it works. just a nice little 45 for you to jam to every now and then.
